Twinsie Thursday: Leoaprd Stripe Skittlette

Check out this super cute look that Lothwen created for Twinsie Thursday! Don't forget to see my mani by visiting her blog! :)

Hello lovelies!
I'm back for Twinsie Thursday and Samantha picked an awesome inspirational manicure for this month! This is the inspiration, and here is my recreation!

I started off with a white base (Essie "Blanc") on all my nails, except the ring finger. Then I applied 2 coats of Essie "I'm Addicted" on my index finger. On my ring finger are three coats of an unnamed nude from Etos. The black stripes were done using a cheap striper from Primark. I applied the leopard spots with a dotting tool, black polish and OPI "Wooden Shoe Like To Know", from the Holland collection, lol! The studs are from Ebay. All in all it was a relatively fast manicure! I like it :)

I like skittlettes, lol! They make me happy. I should do them more often! Now, I haven't seen Samantha's mani yet, but I already know it's going to be awesome, so visit my blog and check it out!!!

Twinsie Thursday: Spring Flowers

Happy Twinsie Thursday everyone! Make sure to stop by Lothwen's blog to view my manicure!

Hello lovelies!!!
Another Twinsie Thursday is upon us and during this one, we try to force the weather to be springy:

Isn't it fun? It is inspired by a fellow blogger, Suzi, but I cannot find the original post. I actually did the design on all 10 nails, something I don't do very often these days, lol!

So I started with a double base coat, because, you know, yellow. Then two coats of Bourjois "Sunny Sunday" and then I dabbed on some Essence "L.O.L." and dotted on the flowers with various colours.

This brought me in a good mood! Now go to my blog to see Samantha's super cute pastel design with Zoya's new spring collection!

Twinsie Thursday: Abstract Flowers

Isn't Lothwen's look lovely? Make sure to to hop over to her blog to see my manicure!

Hello lovelies!
I'm back this month with one of my all-time favourite manis! We decided to recreate a mani by Kelli from The Nail Polish Challenge, which she did for a guest post over at Wondrously Polished! She in turn, was inspired by a painting, lol! I wonder what the painter was inspired by. Anyways, when I saw this mani at the time on IG, I fell in love and saved it for later. Now me and Samantha have recreated it! Here we go:

Please ignore my fuzzy index fingers, I think it's my camera. Now I started with a base of a light grey polish from HEMA, and then did some grungy distressing with OPI Alpine Snow and Paris Memories 236. I then created the stems with a striper and the flowers with a nail art brush and some Catrice "Fred Said Red", "Orango Bloom" and Laushine red stamping polish (opacity-wise a good choice).

So what do you think? Did I do the original manicure justice? I hope so... Now go check out Samantha's awesome take on the matter on my blog! I love it :D

Twinise Thursday: Christmas Stamping

Merry Christmas! I hope y'all enjoy your holiday! Check out Lothwen's cute Christmas mani below! You can see mine on Lothwen's blog! <3

Hello lovelies!
Merry Christmas! It also happens to be Twinsie Thursday, so for me and Samantha it is a double feast. ;) I played Secret Santa and sent Samantha a stamping plate, so that we could coordinate our stamping :D So here is my mani with bornprettystore.com stamping plate BP-01:

I chose a different image for my mani and created this winter wonderland!

My base is Essence "Jacob's Protection" from their Twilight line from 2 or three years ago. The white is Essence white stamping polish and the silver glitter is Rimmel "Shooting Star". What do you think? I like how the snow looks like french tips :)

Now go check out Samantha's mani, because it's super Xmas-y and super cute! And I hope you will all enjoy your holidays!

Twinsie Thursday: Plaid Nails

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate!

Hello lovelies!
I'm back for this  month's Twinsie Thursday and this time we decided on something cosy for the upcoming winter: Plaid nails! We decided to use reds and purples and even though the specifics, our manis turned out completely different, lol! This is my take on the matter and for Samantha's neat design, go to my blog!

I started out with one generous coat of NYC "Revolving Red" and then striped on some red stamping polish by Laushine (for the opacity) vertically. Then I striped on a less opaque red striping polish by Lemax. Then for the purple Essence "Lilac is my Style" an some of that mixed with white for the tiny stripes. Last I applied black acrylic paint with a striper and done!

Now head over to my blog for Samantha's design, you're gonna wanna see what she did, it's so classy and neat and fun!

Twinsie Thursday: Spooky Glow in the Dark Eyes

It is Twinsie Thursday!  How cool are Lothwen's spooky eyes?!

Hello lovelies!
Time for another Twinsie Thursday! We asked you what we should do and you said spooky glow-in-the-dark manicure! So we did! Samantha came up with the design and it's super cool!

You're gonna wanna see her mani on my blog, because that one turned out much better than mine, lol! That's because I attempted to freehand it with a tiny brush.. Oh well...

I used OPI Alpine Snow as my base, and then applied two coats of Essence GITD top coat. Then I drew on the black outlines with acrylic paint. I actually like this mani better in the dark...

Way better!

Now head over to my blog to see Samantha's design! Her in-the-light photos are way better... You can actually see that they're eyes immediately, lol!

Twinsie Thursday: Half Moon Nail Art

How awesome is Lothwen's manicure? Make sure to stop by her blog at the end of this post, so you can see my take on the same idea!

Hello lovelies!

Welcome to another Twinsie Thursday! This month, we had decided on half-moons and Samantha found this awesome inspiration by Lucy's Stash. Then we decided on the colour yellow, because I thought black, white and yellow would look cool ;) This was slightly out of Samantha's comfort zone, but she was excited to try using a bright yellow from her stash! So there we went, and this is the result!

I first applied a base of Essence "Hat-trick!" white polish, and speed dried it with SV. Then I applied some frenchies tip guides to the base of my nails and applied NYC "Lexington Yellow". Then I freehanded the black with acrylic paint, a nail art brush and a dotting tool (as you can see, my hand was not steady..). I tried doing the same on my Cinderella hand, but since I already had trouble applying it with my right hand, I should not have even tried doing it with my left! It turned out to be a disaster and I removed it all and went for plain yellow. Then I applied gel-look top coat from Essence, and put some rhinestones to the base of my nail. Last I applied SV to seal it all in.

I gotta say, I loved the end result (on my left hand). It was so bright! Even 3 of my male colleagues noticed and they may have even sort of liked it (but you never know with these guys ;) ).

Now go to my page and see Samantha's look! She used a different technique that I think is very smart and less time-consuming, with the same result! And she ended up loving it :D Yay Yellow! Oh and I don't think our Twin Nails have ever looked so much alike, it's awesome!

Twinsie Thursday: Blue & Coral One Stroke Flowers

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
How awesome is Lothwen's design!?

Hello lovelies!
It's me again, for this month's Twinsie Thursday! Samantha proposed trying a new technique for this TT, one stroke flowers. Well man that was a challenge! They make it look so easy.. it really isn't though! One needs a good brush and good paint. I ordered the former but sadly not the latter, so I quit trying to paint it on with acrylic paint (it wouldn't bloody stick to my nails!) and decided to use nail polish instead. The colours we decided on were coral and blue. I so happened to have a new blue from LynBDesigns in my possession, Absolutely Absolem, so I had to use it. This is the result:

The coral is an oldie from Essence, "What do u think?" and the nude is from Etos. This was as good as my one-strokes have ever been, so it had to do. So what do u think?

Now go check out Samantha's design on my blog, it is a super cute design and totally different! It surprised me that despite using the same colour scheme and technique, we both ended up with such different manis! It's really funny :D

Until next month!

Twin Nails: Birds & Feathers

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have a twin post with Morven from Pretty Quirky!
We decided to go with a feather with birds ''flying out'' of it over a blue gradient!

For my gradient, I used Wet n Wild Teal Slowly and See, along with Zoya Ling. For the design I used L.A. Colors Art Deco Striper in Black.

I really like the way this looks! I may try it again over a multicolor gradient for a sunset effect.

Here are Morven's nails. How cute are they!?

Until next time! <3

Twin Nails: Gummy Bears

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
My nails are much shorter for this post! I felt like I needed a change, so these square and short nails may be around for a while. ;)
Today I've done twin nails with the lovely Marijana from Nails From Fairy Tale. The group's theme was candy and our sub-theme was gummies, so we chose gummy bears!

I thought that this look was going to be a walk in the park, but I was wrong. It was much harder than I anticipated, but I tried my best and that is all that matters. :)

Polishes Used:
OPI Red My Fortune Cookie
Wet N Wild French White Creme
Wet n Wild Black Creme

Make sure to stop by Marijana's blog!
I'll see y'all on Sunday!
