ellagee's White Lace, Delphinium, & Promises

 * The following polishes were sent to me for my honest review. For more information, please visit my disclosure policy.*

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Happy Chinese New Year to those who celebrate! :)
Today I have three polishes from ellagee! Laura sent me White Lace, Delphinium, and Promises, which are all from her White Lace & Promises collection. This bridal themed collection, which has nine polishes, is set to release in early February!
Here is a little snippet from Laura herself:
"A bouquet of pastel shimmers, a perfectly coordinating iridescent topcoat, and a sparkling textured glitter inspired by a diamond ring. Designed as a complete collection for the bride and her bridesmaids, or as a soft and elegant spring look for any occasion!
Available February 1st at"
White Lace
White Lace is a delicate white polish with a small amount of silver, pink, and blue shimmer. It was opaque in 3 average coats and had an awesome formula! It dried pretty fast too!
I'm not one for wearing white polishes on their own, but White Lace broke the barrier!

Delphinium is a baby blue polish with silver and blue shimmer. I used two average coats here, but if you are aiming for full opacity, then I would do three coats. Like White Lace, Delphinium had an awesome formula and dry time.
Just look at this beauty!

Promises is definitely the life of the party! As a silver glitter texture polish, Promises is opaque in two thin coats. The dry time was average, as well as the formula.
I was very impressed with Promises! Not only is it a great texture, but it is awesome for nail art, as you will see later in this post.
Here is a macro of Promises! How pretty!

I can't review polishes without some form of nail art, so let's see how these three polishes were up to the challenge!
They created such a delicate nail art look!

Go show Laura some love! Make sure to visit her store, Facebook, and Instagram!
All of the polishes in the White Lace & Promises collection retail for $9.50USD, with the exception of Promises, which retails for $10.00USD.

I loved these polishes and I hope you will too! <3

Toile Twins

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I'm doing a twin mani with Ashley from The Life of a Polish Addict! We are both in a twin mani group and we ended up getting paired together, along with the pattern, Toile.
I used two coats of Wet n Wild French White Creme, Rimmel London Black Satin, and some nail art brushes. This look was a lot harder than I anticipated! I definitely need to work on my nail outlining.
Overall, I was pretty happy with the look!
Make sure to check out Ashley's post over on her blog!

"The Queen's" One Year Blogiversary

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today is my One Year Blogiversary! I would like to thank all of my readers for staying loyal over the past year. During this time blogging, I've made some great new friends, improved my photography skills, and my nail art has vastly improved! It's been a great year so far, so here is to many more to come! <3
As for the title of this post, I could be referring to myself (haha), but I'm actually referring to the polishes I used for this nail art look: Loreal's The Queen's Might and The Queen's Ambition!
For this nail art look I used Loreal's The Queen's Might (red), The Queen's Ambition (black), and Wet n Wild French White Creme (white).
Both Loreal polishes had great coverage, dry time, and formula. I was definitely surprised, as these were my first Loreal polishes.
That's all for today! Thank you again to those who have supported me over the last year!

Black & White Daisy Skittle

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
It's been a while since I've blogged, but I'm still alive and I'M BACK! :D
Today I have a super cute skittle mani that was inspired by the one and only Robin Moses!
Here is her video! I didn't follow it exactly, but you'll get the idea.

I used Orly Catch the Bouquet as my pink base, along with Wet n Wild French White Creme and Black Creme.
This look was super easy to create! The best part is that you can change the colors and have a different mani each time!

I'll be back on Tuesday (or Wednesday) with some more nail art!

Revlon Ritzy Swatches

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
I hope y'all are having a good weekend so far!
Today I have a polish that I've had for a while, but never swatched: Revlon Ritzy.
Here is two thin coats Ritzy over Rimmel London Black Satin. No top coat.
Ritzy has silver and black glitters, in various sizes, in a black jelly base.
Ritzy had a good dry time. I wasn't expecting much from this polish, but I must say that I was pleasantly surprised! :)

Twinsie Thursday: Snow & Ice

How cute is this mani? <3 Check out the link at the end of the post to see my nails!

Hello lovelies!

I'm back for another Twinsie Thursday! Today it's all about Snow. The theme was snow and ice, but just before I started my mani, I got some nail mail that contained a snowy topper, so it just HAD to be snow ;-) Look it!

The snowy topper is Foxy Paws "Baby It's Cold Outside", that I ordered on Black Friday with discount and that finally found its way to its new home, together with 6 other pretties, ooohhh!! <3 The base colour is Essence Colour 3 "Midnight Date", two coats. Then one coat of snow (fishing was required for the snowflakes), and then some Nail Pattern Boldness "Glitter Food", as the snowflakes tend to curl up a bit, leaving them terribly famished.

The accent nail has one coat of "Midnight Date" and one coat of its twin topper, "City That Never Sleeps". Then I freehanded the snowflakes with Vogue Fantastic "Blanco ArmiƱo". Everything was topped off with Seche Vite, and to mattify it, one coat of Gosh Matte Effect.

Now head over to my blog, to see Samantha's whimsical winter design!
See you next month!

Aztec Tribal Nails

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
I recently picked up The WAH Nails Book of Nail Art by Sharmadean Reid. This book has twenty-five tutorials and I plan on sharing many of them with y'all! The first nail art look I decided to try was the Aztec Tribal nail art from pages 24-25.
I started this look off by using a white base (Wet n Wild French White Creme) to make the neon lime green (Sation Loudest Color) pop!
Then I took some nail art brushes, along with white (Wet n Wild French White Creme), black (Wet n Wild Black Creme), and hot pink (Color Club neon pink / no label), and started to draw the Aztec Tribal patterns.

The tutorial was very easy to follow as are the tutorials in the rest of the book!
That is all for today! I hope you have an amazing day! :)

Fox Nail Art

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
What does the fox say? Haha ;) Today I have a cute fox nail art look that can be done in an infinite amount of colors!
The index finger is two coats of Wet n Wild Teal Slowly and See topped with an unlabeled Bonita chunky orange glitter.
The middle finger is two coats of Zoya Arizona topped with light blue rhinestones from eBay.
For the ring finger I used two coats of Wet n Wild French White Creme as the base. I used L.A. Colors nail art striper in Bright Orange to draw the fox. I also used Milani nail art stripers in Black Sketch and White Canvas for the details.
The pinkie finger is two coats of Wet n Wild Teal Slowly and See with one coat of Sally Hansen Ice Queen.
I thought the fox would be very hard to draw, but it was much easier than I thought.
I would love to see some of my lovely readers recreate this! If you do, post it on my Facebook wall; I'd love to see it!

Neon Chevron French!

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Happy New Year! I hope 2014 brings lots of new collections and nail art techniques!
To ring in the new year I chose a neon chevron french mani!
The base is two coats of Zoya Charisma. The smaller part of the chevron is Wet n Wild Teal Slowly and See. The larger part of the chevron is an unlabeled neon pink Color Club.

This is a perfect look for the new year, as it is bright and fun!
