Stamping with Born Pretty Store

 Press Samples
Hi everyone!
Today I have two stamping looks for you using BPS stamping plates!

Base Color: Essence L.O.L.   Stamp: BP-L007   Stamping Color: Rimmel London Black Satin

For this look, I chose a fan image from the BP-L007 plate. This plate retails for $5.99 USD and it has twenty-five different images, many of which are full nail images. The plate was etched well and the images came out nice.

Base Color: Essence Break Through   Stamp: m41   Stamping Color: Julep Bunny

For this look I used a plate from a mystery set I received. In the mystery bag I got two plates named m41 and m74. The images in these plates were also well etched. These were not plates I would have picked for myself, but that is what mystery bags are all about! One mystery bag retails for $0.99 USD!

I am no stamping master by any means, but practice makes perfect!

What are your favorite stamping plates? Let me know below!

SmART Nails Stencils: Review & Giveaway

* The following products were sent to me for my honest review. The giveaway prizes are from SmART Nails For more information, please visit my disclosure policy.*
Hey y'all!
Today I have eight stencil designs from SmART Nails to show you, along with an awesome giveaway!

First, let's talk about my overall experience with the stencils. Overall, I was impressed. This was my first time using stencils, so there was a learning curve. You can tell from my photos below that some designs were easier to work with than others, but it was nothing unbearable. The only problem I had was a user error! You should let your base color be completely dry before you apply the stencils. My base color wasn't completely dry some of the times, so I had to repair the base with a striping brush and my polish color.
All of the stencils retail for $1.99USD and there are 10 in each package. You can clean them and use them more than once {I used mine twice and then threw them away}, so they are definitely worth the price.

Polishes Used:
Sinful Colors Orange Cream
Sinful Colors Unicorn
Sinful Colors Sugar Rush
Rimmel London French White Nail Tip Liner
Milani Art of Gold

On my index finger I used a  Pattern 29 3D Nail Art Decoration, which is the gold mermaid glitter. I also used a 3mm pink rhinestone and two silver rhinestones.

On my ringer finger I used a Pattern 39 3D Nail Art Decoration, which is a gorgeous gold sea shell glitter. I also used a 3mm dark blue rhinestone, along with two silver rhinestones.

This look was inspired by a nail art look I saw on the mermaid and sea shell product page!

The mermaid and sea shell glitters were very easy to apply. I gave them a slight curve using an orange stick and they fit perfectly on my nails.

Mummies

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have a super cute mummy manicure! This design is popular in the nail art community, as I've seen many of my fellow bloggers do it!

I started off with two coats of Petites Vintage Gray. Then, using a L.A. Colors Art Deco nail art striper in Black I added in all of the lines. For the eyes I used Wet n Wild French White Creme and Rimmel London Black Satin.

I absolutely love this look! It was super easy, taking me about ten minutes to complete!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays for nail art, as there are so many options!

I'll be back on Thursday with a spooky Twinsie Thursday post!

No Tools Needed Halloween Nail Art: Ghosts

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have a spooky nail art look that is perfect for those just entering the nail art community or seasoned pros and there are no nail art tools needed!

For this look you need 4 things: a orange polish, a white polish, a black polish, and something to make dots with, such as a bobby pin or tooth pick.
I used FingerPaints Iconic Orange, Wet n Wild French White Creme, Rimmel London Black Satin, and a bobby pin.

First, start off with two coats of your orange polish. Then, using your white polish, make an "S" shape on one side of your nail and fill it in. To make the ghost faces use a bobby pin to dot the eyes and mouth on with the black polish.

This look is super easy and can be done in ten minutes or less!
If you try this look out, show me on my facebook page or tag me on Instagram (@samantha_faye16). I'd love to see!

Daring Digits Spot On Over a Black & White Gradient

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have a pretty awesome nail art look inspired by @mypolishedtips13 and @whimsicalicious on Instagram! I saw this look when I was browsing Instagram very early in the morning and a few hours later I was flaunting this look out and about.

I started off with two coats of Wet n Wild French White Creme. For the gradient I used Rimmel London Black Satin and Petites Vintage Gray. I topped the gradient off with a gradient of  Daring Digits Spot On. I applied some top coat and the look was complete!

I love the way this looks so much! Next time I plan on using a glitter topper with smaller glitters to get more of a gradient effect. Maybe I'll use Finger Paints Santa's Magic?

Have you ever tried something like this before? Would you try it in the future? Let me know below!

Leopard Skittle

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have a nail art look featuring some of my favorite brands!

I started off by applying two coats of my favorite OPI polish, Red My Fortune Cookie, on my index and pinky fingers.
To create the leopard look, I used three polishes. I started off with two coats of Rimmel London Carmel Cupcake. Then, using Zoya Louise and Wet N Wild Black, I created the leopard pattern.
I topped it off with top coat and I was good to go!

This is a perfect nail art look for any time of the year, as you can change up the colors!
I'll see you on Thursday with a super cute summer inspired nail art look!

Influenster Uni VoxBox

  * The following products were sent to me for my honest review. For more information, please visit my disclosure policy.*

Hello Lacquer Lovers! Today I have the Uni VoxBox from Influenster to review! This box had a lot of things packed in it, so lets get straight to the review!

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-On Manicure: $5.99 for colors & $7.99 for patterns
This was a very interesting experience! While I may have the unpopular opinion with these, I was less than impressed. I got the color 130 Control Freak. I loved the color, but I felt as the nails looked unnatural on me. The sizes weren't completely right for my nails. Also, this ruined my nails - it peeled off 2 layers. :(

NYC Expert Last Lip Color in Forever Fuchsia: $1.99
I'm such a bad blogger. I lost my pictures to this. Oops! Check out my Instagram later next week and maybe you will catch a sneak peek! :)
I liked the color and the formula was great. Good job NYC!

Pilot Acroball PureWhite: $4.59 (3pk), $6.24 (4pk), & $7.49 (5pk)
I got the white and tangerine pen, as seen above.
I'll be honest, this pen did not move mountains for me. It was just a nice pen. There are other pens for less than this price that I like more; therefore, I will not seek out this pen in the future.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation: $4.99 - $5.49
I ADORE Rimmel's Stay Matte powder, but this product didn't work out for me. I got the color 200 Beige, which is similar to my skin tone, so that was a plus. I liked the consistency and you only need a little bit to do your entire face! I did have some issues with this product though. I have super sensitive skin, so finding face products that don't burn my skin or break me out is a daunting task. This product didn't even make it to pictures, as it burnt my face. I really wish this product would have worked out! :(

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance: $3.99 - $4.99
The Influenster card says "Play without limits. Introducing NEW Playtex Sport Fresh Balance with Ordor Shield technology. It's designed to neutralize odors for ultimate freshness on and off the field. Combined with a 360 [degree] design for Sport Level Protection, you can go the distance. Play On".

Red Rose REAL TEA Premium Water Enhancer: $4.49
Okay y'all- I have not been in love with the idea of flavored tea. Ever. It's just so unapealling, as I am a southern girl who loves her sweet tea!
I got the BlackCurant Rasberry flavor. If you take my opinion in any level of seriousness, please do not spend you $4.49 on this product, unless you'd like to drink something that tastes like straight cough syrup.

I loved the idea of this box, but I ended up a little disappointed. The two highlights of this box, for me at least, were the lipstick and the pen.
What do you think of this VoxBox? Let me know below!

Toile Twins

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I'm doing a twin mani with Ashley from The Life of a Polish Addict! We are both in a twin mani group and we ended up getting paired together, along with the pattern, Toile.
I used two coats of Wet n Wild French White Creme, Rimmel London Black Satin, and some nail art brushes. This look was a lot harder than I anticipated! I definitely need to work on my nail outlining.
Overall, I was pretty happy with the look!
Make sure to check out Ashley's post over on her blog!

Revlon Ritzy Swatches

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
I hope y'all are having a good weekend so far!
Today I have a polish that I've had for a while, but never swatched: Revlon Ritzy.
Here is two thin coats Ritzy over Rimmel London Black Satin. No top coat.
Ritzy has silver and black glitters, in various sizes, in a black jelly base.
Ritzy had a good dry time. I wasn't expecting much from this polish, but I must say that I was pleasantly surprised! :)
