Galaxy Nails!

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
The universe is a beautiful thing; I, for one, believe that it is one piece of art! Today this nail art look is inspired by the galaxies!

I used Essie Aruba Blue as my base color. Then I took Above the Curve Risen Angel, Too Cute-icle Beach Blanket, Cutoffs and Bikini, and Orly Oh Cabana Boy and painted them on lightly in different locations on the nail. I used China Glaze Fairy Dust to blend the colors together. To finish up the look I used FingerPaints Santa's Magic in different locations.

This look is very easy to recreate and is the perfect place to start if you're just getting into nail art or if you are a seasoned pro! :)

Cherry Blossoms

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have another mani inspired by a beautiful piece of art!

Base Color: Wet N Wild Teal Slowly and Sea
Flower Colors: OPI Did It On Em, Zoya Charisma, Color Club unnamed yellow and hot pink, and OPI Can't Let Go
Branch Color: Milani Nail Art Striper in Black Sketch

This look was very easy to create! I started off with a base color, drew on the branches (with a light hand) and used the polish brushes to dab on the blossoms.

That is all for today! :)

Nail Art Inspired by Mondrian!

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
It's finals week for me, so I need a bright mani to cheer me up!

Today my mani is inspired by this painting by Mondrian!

Here is what I came up with:
I used an unnamed yellow Color Club, OPI Red My Fortune Cookie, Wet n Wild Teal Slowly and Sea, Wet n Wild French White Creme, and a Milani nail art striper in Black Sketch.

For the cube nails I applied one coat of Wet n Wild French White Creme and then, using the brushes the polishes came with, I brushed on the red, blue, and yellow polishes. Then I outlined everything with a nail art striper and applied rhinestones to all of my other nails in coordinating colors.

Here is the final look!

I'm loving this manicure and I'll be sure to create it again in the future with other colors! This look is sure to keep me awake during finals, considering how bold it is. Here is to hoping it doesn't distract me too much! ;)

Neon Skittle!

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today, I have a neon skittle mani inspired by a wonderful piece of art! Let's jump right into the mani!

All photos were taken in artificial white light, to best capture the colors.

This bright mani is based off of the following painting called Splatter Roots 02, by Kalie Hoodhood.

I used a mixture of two unnamed Color Clubs, a hot pink and a yellow, Zoya Charisma, and OPI Did It On Em for the accent nail.
OPI Did It On Em is on my index finger, the yellow Color Club is on my middle finger, Zoya Charisma is on my thumb, and the hot pink Color Club is on my pinkie.
I added black rhinestones to each nail after I top coated.

To create the look on my ring finger, I took all of the polishes, along with two q-tips and started dotting away.

This is mani is definitely a show stopper and although the colors are neon, it is still great to rock in the winter! :)

Until next time!
