Anchors Away

*Press Samples
Hi, everyone!
Wow, I've been gone for a while. I honestly didn't mean to stay gone this long, but life gets in the way. Anyways, I'm back and plan to make up for all of the time that I've missed!

Here is my first manicure, to get me back in the swing of things!  It features some of my favorite brands, so let's get right into it!

Let's start with the basis of all manicures: nail upkeep. I've currently been using a four-way buffer* from Born Pretty Store to keep my nails in shape! I would consider this buffer one of the best I've ever used - it hasn't shown a lot of wear and I've been using it for a while now! You can find it on Born Pretty Store's website for $1.99 USD!

For my pinky I started off with two coats of Zoya Ryan*. Then, I added the cute seagulls from the QJ-197 water decal sheet*, which retails for $0.99 USD at Born Pretty Store! I'm a little upset that they didn't transfer like I'd hoped, as they don't have a white background. I was, however, very happy with the way the anchors transferred onto my thumb (not pictured).

For my ring and index fingers I started off with two coats of OPI Red My Fortune Cookie. Then, I transferred full nail water decals from the BP-W07 sheet*. For my middle finger I started off with two coats of Wet n Wild French White Creme and I used a decal from the same sheet. The BP-W07 water decal sheet retails for $1.99 USD.

I really love the way this manicure turned out! It is definitely a great summer send off mani!

What do you think? Are you still on the water decal train? Let me know below!

SmART Nails Stencils: Review & Giveaway

* The following products were sent to me for my honest review. The giveaway prizes are from SmART Nails For more information, please visit my disclosure policy.*
Hey y'all!
Today I have eight stencil designs from SmART Nails to show you, along with an awesome giveaway!

First, let's talk about my overall experience with the stencils. Overall, I was impressed. This was my first time using stencils, so there was a learning curve. You can tell from my photos below that some designs were easier to work with than others, but it was nothing unbearable. The only problem I had was a user error! You should let your base color be completely dry before you apply the stencils. My base color wasn't completely dry some of the times, so I had to repair the base with a striping brush and my polish color.
All of the stencils retail for $1.99USD and there are 10 in each package. You can clean them and use them more than once {I used mine twice and then threw them away}, so they are definitely worth the price.

Mummies

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have a super cute mummy manicure! This design is popular in the nail art community, as I've seen many of my fellow bloggers do it!

I started off with two coats of Petites Vintage Gray. Then, using a L.A. Colors Art Deco nail art striper in Black I added in all of the lines. For the eyes I used Wet n Wild French White Creme and Rimmel London Black Satin.

I absolutely love this look! It was super easy, taking me about ten minutes to complete!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays for nail art, as there are so many options!

I'll be back on Thursday with a spooky Twinsie Thursday post!

No Tools Needed Halloween Nail Art: Ghosts

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have a spooky nail art look that is perfect for those just entering the nail art community or seasoned pros and there are no nail art tools needed!

For this look you need 4 things: a orange polish, a white polish, a black polish, and something to make dots with, such as a bobby pin or tooth pick.
I used FingerPaints Iconic Orange, Wet n Wild French White Creme, Rimmel London Black Satin, and a bobby pin.

First, start off with two coats of your orange polish. Then, using your white polish, make an "S" shape on one side of your nail and fill it in. To make the ghost faces use a bobby pin to dot the eyes and mouth on with the black polish.

This look is super easy and can be done in ten minutes or less!
If you try this look out, show me on my facebook page or tag me on Instagram (@samantha_faye16). I'd love to see!

Daring Digits Spot On Over a Black & White Gradient

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have a pretty awesome nail art look inspired by @mypolishedtips13 and @whimsicalicious on Instagram! I saw this look when I was browsing Instagram very early in the morning and a few hours later I was flaunting this look out and about.

I started off with two coats of Wet n Wild French White Creme. For the gradient I used Rimmel London Black Satin and Petites Vintage Gray. I topped the gradient off with a gradient of  Daring Digits Spot On. I applied some top coat and the look was complete!

I love the way this looks so much! Next time I plan on using a glitter topper with smaller glitters to get more of a gradient effect. Maybe I'll use Finger Paints Santa's Magic?

Have you ever tried something like this before? Would you try it in the future? Let me know below!

Pineapple Skittle

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have a super cute pineapple skittle, inspired by elleandish on YouTube.
I think this is the perfect manicure to celebrate the end of the summer!

Thumb & Pinky
I used two coats of China Glaze Metro Pollen-Tin. Then, I added some gold studs to add something a little extra!

Index
I started off with two coats of China Glaze At Vase Value. Then, I added three white stripes using L.A. Colors Art Deco White Striper and added a gold stud.

Middle
I started off with two coats of Wet n Wild French White Creme. Then taking China Glaze Metro Pollen-Tin I drew an oval. I used L.A. Colors Art Deco Stripers in Bright Green and Bright Orange to add the pineapple's characteristics. The pineapple is a little off center, but practice makes perfect. :)

Ring
I started off with two coats of China Glaze At Vase Value and I topped it off with one thick coat of a Sally Hansen Gem Crush in Bling-Tastic.

What do you think? Have you ever thought about rocking fruit as a mani?

I started off with two coats of Wet n Wild Megalast On A Trip. On A Trip is a dark lavender.
I used Essie Penny Talk and Winstonia plate W203 to stamp on the swirls.

I am in love with this stamping image. There are so many possibilities!

Twin Nails: Birds & Feathers

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have a twin post with Morven from Pretty Quirky!
We decided to go with a feather with birds ''flying out'' of it over a blue gradient!

For my gradient, I used Wet n Wild Teal Slowly and See, along with Zoya Ling. For the design I used L.A. Colors Art Deco Striper in Black.

I really like the way this looks! I may try it again over a multicolor gradient for a sunset effect.

Here are Morven's nails. How cute are they!?

Until next time! <3

Twin Nails: Gummy Bears

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
My nails are much shorter for this post! I felt like I needed a change, so these square and short nails may be around for a while. ;)
Today I've done twin nails with the lovely Marijana from Nails From Fairy Tale. The group's theme was candy and our sub-theme was gummies, so we chose gummy bears!

I thought that this look was going to be a walk in the park, but I was wrong. It was much harder than I anticipated, but I tried my best and that is all that matters. :)

Polishes Used:
OPI Red My Fortune Cookie
Wet N Wild French White Creme
Wet n Wild Black Creme

Make sure to stop by Marijana's blog!
I'll see y'all on Sunday!

Black & White Abstract Nail Art

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have a really neat nail art look for you!

I started off with two coats of Wet n Wild French White Creme as my base. Then, I went in with a Fing'rs Flirt stamping plate in B43, along with Wet n Wild Black Creme to create an abstract look.

I topped the look off with my go to top coat, NYC Grand Central Station.

I'm loving this look! I think it would be very fun to recreate in other colors! Who knows? Maybe you'll see it soon! :)
