Here is one of my more in-depth reviews from
Facebook. I learned a lot during this post. Take a peek!
Jan. 7, 2012
"Matte: lacking or deprived of luster or gloss;
having a usually smooth even surface free from shine or highlights (merriam-webster.com/dictionary/matte)."
The review and pictures are after the jump!

That is exactly what Essie Matte About You and NYC Matte Me
Crazy accomplish. While they accomplish the same thing, there are many
differences. The first difference that you can see right off the bat is
the price. Essie Matte About You retails for around $10, while NYC
Matte Me Crazy retails for around $1.92. I was able to pick up the
Essie at Ulta for $5 (thank God for coupons) and the NYC at Wal-Mart
for $1.92. The next difference that is quite noticeable is the
matte-ness of each top coat. Essie Matte About You has a more matte
finish. It has no shine to it what so ever. The NYC Matte Me Crazy has a
shinier finish, but it is still matte. The last noticeable difference I
found was the formula. NYC Matte Me Crazy has a thicker formula, while
Essie Matte About You has a thinner formula. The dry time for both was
about the same, coming in at around five minutes. Overall I would say
that Essie Matte About You wins for how matte the finish is, but NYC
Matte Me Crazy wins for the price. At the end of the day it comes down
to personal preference.

Shown below is three thin coats of Sally Hansen Tough Chick.
Essie Matte About You is on the ring and index finger and NYC Matte Me
Crazy is on the pinky and middle finger.
