Today I have a quick swatch of Girly Bits I Hit My Bunny Phone!

Two coats; base and top coat.

This polish is stunning! It shifts from purple to gold, red, violet, and green.

This is my first indie multi-chrome and very I'm impressed; in fact, this was my first Girly Bits polish!

KbShimmer Men Are From Mars-ala

Hey y'all!

Today's post features the Pantone Color of the Year: Marsala! At first, I was very skeptical of this color, but after swatching KbShimmer's Men Are From Mars-ala, I was sold!

Men Are From Mars-ala, a linear holographic polish, is a gorgeous rusty red shade. The formula was smooth, creamy, and fast drying.
I applied two coats of Men Are From Mars-ala over my normal base coat; no top coat. In the picture above, I used artificial daylight and the holographic payoff was great! 

This was my first polish by KbShimmer and I am really impressed!

Zoya Spencer & Jindie Nails Pretty Penny

Hello Lacquer Lovers!

Over the course of the week I went back to nubbins! I can never decide what length I want, but hopefully the nubbins will be around for a while. 

This is two coats of Zoya Spencer with a double accent of Jindie Nails Pretty Penny.

I am loving these two polishes together! They remind me of fall, which I hope comes soon, as it is still getting up to almost ninety degrees here. 

What are your thoughts on the double accent?

So far, I'm loving it!

Daring Digits Spot On Over a Black & White Gradient

Hello Lacquer Lovers! 

Today I have a pretty awesome nail art look inspired by @mypolishedtips13 and @whimsicalicious on Instagram! I saw this look when I was browsing Instagram very early in the morning and a few hours later I was flaunting this look out and about.

I started off with two coats of Wet n Wild French White Creme. For the gradient I used Rimmel London Black Satin and Petites Vintage Gray. I topped the gradient off with a gradient of  Daring Digits Spot On. I applied some top coat and the look was complete!

I love the way this looks so much! Next time I plan on using a glitter topper with smaller glitters to get more of a gradient effect. Maybe I'll use Finger Paints Santa's Magic?

Sinful Colors All the Rage & You Polish Neon Sprinkles or Something

Hello Lacquer Lovers!

Today I have two polishes that were meant for each other. I mean, just look at this....

Sinful Colors All the Rage is a part of the Sinful Shine line, which I absolutely love! I used two coats for complete opacity. 

I topped it off with one coat of You Polish Neon Sprinkles or Something. It has yellow hex, lime square, blue hex, and giant pink hex glitters. I did have to fish out the giant pink hex, but that is to be expected of a glitter in a mini bottle. This polish has been sitting in my untrieds for the longest time, but it may be one of my new favorites. I actually won it in a giveaway from Lace and Lacquers a year ago!

This mani also let me debut my new nubbins, which may stay for a while. They don't chip as much when they are short and this is very important because I'll be going back to school in less than ten days! 

ellagee's White Lace, Delphinium, & Promises

Hello Lacquer Lovers!

Happy Chinese New Year to those who celebrate! :)

Today I have three polishes from ellagee! Laura sent me White Lace, Delphinium, and Promises, which are all from her White Lace & Promises collection. This bridal themed collection, which has nine polishes, is set to release in early February! 

Here is a little snippet from Laura herself:

White Lace

 White Lace is a delicate white polish with a small amount of silver, pink, and blue shimmer. It was opaque in 3 average coats and had an awesome formula! It dried pretty fast too! 

I'm not one for wearing white polishes on their own, but White Lace broke the barrier!

Delphinium

Delphinium is a baby blue polish with silver and blue shimmer. I used two average coats here, but if you are aiming for full opacity, then I would do three coats. Like White Lace, Delphinium had an awesome formula and dry time.

Just look at this beauty! 

Promises

Promises is definitely the life of the party! As a silver glitter texture polish, Promises is opaque in two thin coats. The dry time was average, as well as the formula.

I was very impressed with Promises! Not only is it a great texture, but it is awesome for nail art, as you will see later in this post.

I can't review polishes without some form of nail art, so let's see how these three polishes were up to the challenge!

Anne Kathleen Ti & Mocha

Hello Lacquer Lovers!

Today I have two polishes from Anne Kathleen, Ti and Mocha!

All photos were taken in artificial daylight.

First up, my favorite, Mocha!

 As described by Leanne, "Mocha is a sultry temptress in strappy black floor-length dresses. She frequents jazz bars, humming to the piano in the back of the room. Mocha is a full coverage dark brown slightly holographic polish with light green reflects".

 Pictured is one coat with top coat.

The formula was great, as was the dry time. 

Of course I had to include a macro!

Overall, I really liked Mocha!

Next up is Ti!

As described by Leanne, "Crumpets and tarts are Ti’s favorite pastime. Each sugar-filled treat brings an extra bit of joy to her day. Her namesake polish is a scrumptious green that brightens up the hands. Ti is a full coverage green polish with a tiny bit of shimmer".

 Pictured is two coats with top coat. 

Although the dry time was okay, the formula wasn't great. The formula seemed bumpy and gritty. I thought my top coat would smooth it out, but it didn't. You can see what I'm talking about in the photo below.

In the end, I liked this polish. It would be a good base for nail art. Honestly, I will not be using this polish again, as it contains chromium oxide green. In the great State of California it is known to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm. Please use this polish at your own discretion.

These two polishes went great together, so I did some basic nail art.

Alter Ego Nail Enamel Sun Goddess & Vampyre by Nyte!

Today I have two unique polishes from Alter Ego Nail Enamel.

These photos were all taken in natural sunlight. 

First up, Sun Goddess!

Here is Cynthia's description: "I love my sun, so bright & cheery. :) I wanted to name this enamel after a sun goddess, but when I did some research I found at least a dozen different goddesses, and rather than risk the wrath of insulting any in particular this enamel is named in honor of all I found! Light yellow base with 2 sizes metallic orange glitter and fine metallic red glitter."

I used one coat of Sun Goddess over one coat of Zoya Arizona on all of my nails except the accent. On the accent I used three coats of Sun Goddess. 

Sun Goddess has a matte/satin finish, but here it is pictured with top coat. I highly recommend using a top coat for this polish, as it seemed gritty without it.

Next we have Vampyre by Nyte!

Here is Cynthia's description: "As all creatures evolve & change as time marches on, so does the Vampyre By Nyte!  Today's modern vampyre wanted a new title, hence the Y instead of an I, but the council had to admit there isn't much else that could be changed without getting scary! They can handle overcast days but really wake up & shine after dark. :) The base color is hard to categorize- a dark color that can lean to deepest purple, brown or black and flecks of red shimmery glitter with a high gloss top coat."

I used two coats of Vampyre by Nyte. 

Vampyre by Nyte has a satin/waxy finish. It is a brownish purple mix (is that even a color? haha) with shimmer. 

The shimmer seems to hide when in it's natural element, without top coat.

 I think that Vampyre by Nyte is pretty as it is, but when a top coat is added, it becomes an entirely different polish! 

I absolutely love it with top coat! It brings out all of the different dimensions of color!

Overall, I liked both of these polishes. 

As Cynthia recommends in her shop, set the bottle upside down for about five minutes, so the pigments and glitters will mix. Then, shake the bottle for about thirty seconds. I definitely recommend this, as some glitters and pigments settle. It is a quick fix though! :)

Hare Polish Dauphine of Decadence & Zoya Blu

Hello Lacquer Lovers!

Today I have a unique mani, which I have fallen in love with: Hare Polish Dauphine of Decadence and Zoya Blu!

All photos were taken in natural light. Forgive some of the pictures, as my camera freaked out! 

Here is one coat of Dauphine of Decadence over one coat of Zoya Blu. I then added gold circular studs to add an extra dazzle.

 Zoya Blu had an okay formula. It was not my favorite, but it could have been a lot worse.

 Hare Dauphine of Decadence had a good formula and a great dry time.

Overall, I'm really loving this combo! 

GeeWhiz Review: Tidepool & Angels Wear Green

Happy day before Halloween! Check back tomorrow for my Halloween post! :)

Today I have 2 items to review; a lovely glitter polish, Tidepool, and a loose glitter, Angels Wear Green!

Let's start off with the polish! 

As stated by Jessi, Tidepool is a glitter polish that has "fine halo turquoise with some dark purple, larger matte yellow and pink hexes,and large holo lavender hexes".

 Here I used 1 coat of Tidepool over Zoya Sailor and Essie Big Spender.

Tidepool had a great dry time. I didn't have to fish for any glitters; they came right out. It is also a good coverage glitter for 1 coat. I was very impressed!


Now for the glitter, Angels Wear Green!

Angels Wear Green is a loose glitter with emerald micro glitters along with multi-shaped silver glitters. This is a solvent resistent glitter, so if I wanted to I could have just put it into polish base, but instead I chose to use it to create a mani!

I dabbed the glitter over wet black polish. Here I used Sinful Colors Black on Black.

Here is Angels Wear Green in all of it's sparkling glory!

For never using a loose glitter before I was surprised how easy it was to create a mani!
