Twinsie Thursday: Spooky Glow in the Dark Eyes

It is Twinsie Thursday!  How cool are Lothwen's spooky eyes?!

Hello lovelies!

Time for another Twinsie Thursday! We asked you what we should do and you said spooky glow-in-the-dark manicure! So we did! Samantha came up with the design and it's super cool! 

You're gonna wanna see her mani on my blog, because that one turned out much better than mine, lol! That's because I attempted to freehand it with a tiny brush.. Oh well...

I used OPI Alpine Snow as my base, and then applied two coats of Essence GITD top coat. Then I drew on the black outlines with acrylic paint. I actually like this mani better in the dark...

Way better!

Mummies

Hello Lacquer Lovers!

Today I have a super cute mummy manicure! This design is popular in the nail art community, as I've seen many of my fellow bloggers do it!

I started off with two coats of Petites Vintage Gray. Then, using a L.A. Colors Art Deco nail art striper in Black I added in all of the lines. For the eyes I used Wet n Wild French White Creme and Rimmel London Black Satin.

I absolutely love this look! It was super easy, taking me about ten minutes to complete!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays for nail art, as there are so many options!

No Tools Needed Halloween Nail Art: Ghosts

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have a spooky nail art look that is perfect for those just entering the nail art community or seasoned pros and there are no nail art tools needed!

For this look you need 4 things: a orange polish, a white polish, a black polish, and something to make dots with, such as a bobby pin or tooth pick.

I used FingerPaints Iconic Orange, Wet n Wild French White Creme, Rimmel London Black Satin, and a bobby pin.

First, start off with two coats of your orange polish. Then, using your white polish, make an "S" shape on one side of your nail and fill it in. To make the ghost faces use a bobby pin to dot the eyes and mouth on with the black polish.

This look is super easy and can be done in ten minutes or less!

Pumpkins!

Hello Lacquer Lovers!

What says Halloween more than pumpkins? I get a pumpkin every time I go to the store, so I thought I would recreate my love for them on my nails! 

As most of my nail art, this is perfect for beginners!

As a base color a chose Pure Ice Oh Baby!, which is a pearly opalescent color. Then, I took a nameless neon orange Color Club and made the pumpkin shape. I did 2 coats for maximum opacity. They don't have to be perfect; no pumpkins ever are! I used Diamond Cosmetics Nail Art Striper in 14K for the outline and curves of the pumpkin. Then, I used L.A. Colors Nail Art Striper in Bright Green and Diamond Cosmetics Nail Art Striper in Cocoa for the leaves and the stems. 

I think that this is a perfect fall manicure whether you celebrate Halloween or not! If you wanted a super spooky manicure, then you could add Jack-O-Lateran faces!

Sharpie Spiderwebs!

Hello Lacquer Lovers! 

There are a few weeks until Halloween, so that means all of my nail art posts until the end of the month will be Halloween themed!

Today I have a super cute and easy nail art design for you: spiderwebs! There are many ways that spiderwebs can be done; freehand, stamping, or decals are just a few! Today I'll be trying a technique that is new to me; sharpie nail art! 

I used 3 thin coats of Nina Ultra Pro Pearly Brights. Pearly Brights is a beautiful orange with pearly blue hues when in the sun. It dries really fast and dries to a matte finish. 

Next, I took a ultra fine point Sharpie and drew on my spiderweb design. It does take a little practice, but it is easy after you get the hang of it! The beauty of this type of nail art is that it doesn't have to look perfect, since spiderwebs don't always look perfect in real life. 

Top coating Sharpie nail art is very precarious because if the brush hits it, it may smear. My advice is to use a thin quick dry top coat.

Overall, I really love this look! It took about 5 minutes in total from start to finish, so it is perfect for a fast manicure. Share this on my Facebook page if you recreate it! I would love to see it! :)
