How to Revive an Old Manicure {ft. KKCenterHk}

   * The following nail art foil was sent to me for my honest review. For more information, please visit my disclosure policy.*

 Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Do you ever need to redo your manicure, but don't have the time? Today I will show you how to revive your old manicure in seconds thanks to KKCenterHK!

To revive your old manicure using nail art foils you will need three things: top coat, nail foils, and nail foil glue.
I used NYC Grand Central Station, N.NAIL Lovely Flower Sea Nail Foil Transfer [NNAIL-E28], and nail foil glue {I used Ciate Foil Fix}. The foil set I received had a small bottle of foil glue, but the brush was too long for the bottle and was bent.

{Optional}
First, you want to top coat your old manicure so you have a smooth surface. This is especially important if you have any chips. I didn't do this step, as my polish had not chipped yet.
My base color is OPI I Think in Pink.

Next, apply your foil glue. You can apply it all over the nail or in a design. I chose to do a chevron french manicure. Wait until the glue is tacky and apply the nail foil. Apply top coat to seal in the foil.

Tada! You have now revived your old manicure! This is the way to go if your pinched on time, as it took me less than ten minutes total!

Have you ever revived an old manicure? If so, what did you do?

Zoya Ignite

  * The following products were sent to me for my honest review. For more information, please visit my disclosure policy.*

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have the Zoya Ignite Collection for fall 2014. This is a great group of six shimmers that are great for fall!

All photos were taken in artificial light. I used two coats for all six polishes for full opacity. I didn't use top coat, as they are shiny on their own. As always, the formulas were amazing.

Zoya Autumn
Autumn is a copper with copper shimmer.

 Zoya Teigen
Teigen is plum with a strong copper shimmer.

Zoya India
India is a deep red with a gold shimmer.

Zoya Yuna
Yuna is a gray with a copper shimmer.

Zoya  Remy
Remy is an indigo with both gold and copper shimmer.

Zoya Sansa
Sansa is an eggplant polish with a gold shimmer.

Overall, I liked this collection. Shimmers aren't quite my favorite type of polishes, but these were well executed.

Of the six, Yuna is my absolute favorite. I do not have anything else like it in my collection.

I have already swatched the Entice collection. You can view it here.

Are you planning to pick up any of these polishes? If so, which ones?

Zoya Entice

 * The following products were sent to me for my honest review. For more information, please visit my disclosure policy.*

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have the new Zoya Entice Collection for fall 2014. Overall, I really liked this collection. It is a solid group of six cremes that are perfect for fall!

All photos were taken in artificial light. I used two coats for all six polishes for full opacity. There was no need for top coat, as they are super shiny on their own. As always, the formulas and dry time were amazing.

Zoya Nyssa
Nyssa is a light milk chocolate.

Zoya Veronica
 Veronica is a rich wine.

Zoya Margo
 Margo is a red-toned plum.

Zoya Claire
 Claire is a rich burgundy.

Zoya Genevieve
Genevieve is a beautiful blue-toned grey.

Zoya Ryan
 Ryan is a classic indigo.

Overall, I was truly impressed with this collection. All of the polishes had rich colors, great formulas, and were super shiny.

Out of the six, I have three favorites: Veronica, Margo, and Ryan. These three colors embody what fall is to me.

Tune in on Wednesday for Zoya Ignite swatches!

Are you excited for this collection? If so, which polishes do you want to pick up?

Twinsie Thursday: Half Moon Nail Art

How awesome is Lothwen's manicure? Make sure to stop by her blog at the end of this post, so you can see my take on the same idea!

Hello lovelies!

Welcome to another Twinsie Thursday! This month, we had decided on half-moons and Samantha found this awesome inspiration by Lucy's Stash. Then we decided on the colour yellow, because I thought black, white and yellow would look cool ;) This was slightly out of Samantha's comfort zone, but she was excited to try using a bright yellow from her stash! So there we went, and this is the result!

I first applied a base of Essence "Hat-trick!" white polish, and speed dried it with SV. Then I applied some frenchies tip guides to the base of my nails and applied NYC "Lexington Yellow". Then I freehanded the black with acrylic paint, a nail art brush and a dotting tool (as you can see, my hand was not steady..). I tried doing the same on my Cinderella hand, but since I already had trouble applying it with my right hand, I should not have even tried doing it with my left! It turned out to be a disaster and I removed it all and went for plain yellow. Then I applied gel-look top coat from Essence, and put some rhinestones to the base of my nail. Last I applied SV to seal it all in.

I gotta say, I loved the end result (on my left hand). It was so bright! Even 3 of my male colleagues noticed and they may have even sort of liked it (but you never know with these guys ;) ).

Now go to my page and see Samantha's look! She used a different technique that I think is very smart and less time-consuming, with the same result! And she ended up loving it :D Yay Yellow! Oh and I don't think our Twin Nails have ever looked so much alike, it's awesome!

Sinful Colors Pragmatic & Salon Perfect Flower Power

Hello Lacquer Lovers!

To match my blog's new look, I decided to go with a purple manicure!

Today I have a manicure featuring two of my favorite drugstore brands: Sinful Colors and Salon Perfect! I love Sinful Colors because they are good quality, cheap, and wear like iron. Salon Perfect is keeping up with the indie polish scene, which for a major brand is very important!

I started off with two coats of Sinful Colors Pragmatic. This polish is from the Sinful Shine line.

I topped it off with one coat of Salon Perfect Flower Power. Flower power has large pink circle, large yellow circle, small yellow hex, small blue hex, and small pink hex glitters. The base was kind of thick, so I ended up with some bubbles on my nail.

Overall, I really like this look. It is very summery and girly- perfect to ring in the new school year with!

What is your favorite drugstore brand at the moment?

Dinosaur Stamping

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
RAWR! Today I have a dinosaur look inspired by Nail Stamp 4 Fun!

For this look I used Winstonia W216 and W220, along with White French Creme from Wet n Wild, and some Color Club neons.

This look was much harder than I anticipated, so I'm sure you will see me trying it again in the future!

Makeup by One Direction: Up All Night Collection {Limited Edition}

* The following products were sent to me for my honest review. For more information, please visit my disclosure policy.*

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
A few weeks ago I posted a giveaway featuring Makeup by One Direction! Today I have the swatches from the kit I received, the Up All Night Collection. If you would like to see the other kits, check them out on Facebook, as tons of bloggers have been posting on their page!

The kit comes in a collectable tin box. The imaging is a plastic casing and can be removed to open the box.

When you open the box, on the left is a "look book" showing you how to use each product.

The items in the kit are nicely packaged and are secure in the box.

Now, let's get to the swatches!

Na Na Na is the nail polish in the Up All Night Collection. It is a sheer blue polish with a green shift, needing three coats for full opacity. This was the item I was most excited for! I liked it, but the it had a strong, off putting smell.

Stand Up is the chubby eye pencil. The kit describes it as a "dark denim" color. This crayon should be long lasting, as it took me forever to scrub it off of my arm after doing these swatches.

More Then This is a soft pink. Gotta Be You is a taupe shimmer. Save You Tonight is a turquoise blue. Another World is a royal blue. All four of these shadows are from the 4+1 eyeshadow palette.

Up All Night, a dark blue glitter, is also from the 4+1 eyeshadow palette.

Taken, the Liquilights Glow Glass, is a hot pink lip gloss with a bit of glitter. It glows orange under a UV light. It has a gritty feel to it from the glitter.

I Should Have Kissed You is a bright pink matte lipstick. This is my least favorite product from the collection, as it is drying and has a waxy feel to it. It does not look appealing on the lips, so I will spare you that picture.

Little Black Dress is the mascara from the collection. It was okay. It wasn't horrible, but it was no where near my holy grail mascara.

The kit also includes a five piece stencil set.

Overall, I think that this collection is okay. I'm not sure if I would pay $29 dollars for it though, as it seems like you are paying for the name more than the product. My favorite product from this collection would have to be the chubby eye/body crayon. It is long lasting and has good coverage.

You can visit my previous post for more detailed information about the collection.

What is your favorite part of this collection? Are you going to pick it up?

Swirl Stamping

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have a girly swirly stamping look!

I started off with two coats of Wet n Wild Megalast On A Trip. On A Trip is a dark lavender.
I used Essie Penny Talk and Winstonia plate W203 to stamp on the swirls.

I am in love with this stamping image. There are so many possibilities!

Do you have a favorite stamping image? If so, which one? If not, what would you like to try?
